Neanderthals knew the shape, size, & angle to chisel for a perfect tool. 15 years and I’m still learning new #structures, and the #functions those structures bring to beauty tools.

In #design school, we learned #FormfollowsFunction, nowhere else is this more applicable than in tool design.
Be it the length & angle of the bevel, on the blade that makes the perfect sashimi; or taper to length ratio to achieve the perfect flexibility of a lipgloss applicator.

Every day we prototype, test, and refine new structures that give better and better application #experiences. But when I say new, I also say, “No Ideas are New, they are all inspired.”

Take #inspiration from results of the longest and the most ruthless design process, Evolution. Be it strength in delicate structures or compact features that expand, everything was done by nature before us.

So like the Neanderthal, I am awed by and inspired by these efficient, optimized, and #leandesigns, with only a sliver of hope to make a good copy.

Sometimes, you may be inspired by a rose petal, & on release, the social media only sees a certain body part, but that is a story for next week. # #beauty#productdesign
